An inventive tote designer collects flip-top tabs from soda can factories and creates a woven metallic fabric in a roomy, flexible bag with wide straps. Constructed entirely from these aluminum flip-tops woven together invisibly with thin, strong cord, her cool tote, all sass and functional fizz, stopped passersby when we recently took it out for a stroll.
